High Pressure Sewer and Water Mains

As a core capability in our suite of services, few contractors can match the efficiency with which Aqua Pipeline Contracting are able to install high-pressure mains pipelines. Our experience in the recycled water grid augmentation project for the eastern pipe alliance in South-East Queensland and other similar mains projects has given us invaluable learning’s in planning and delivering such projects. As a result, Aqua Pipeline Contracting is able to achieve time, cost and quality targets that our competitors cannot match.

Shaft Construction

Shaft construction is a complex and sometimes dangerous job. Aqua Pipeline Contracting has very specific work method statements and safety procedures, ensuring the safe delivery of each shaft. For example, the Bulimba Sewer upgrade project for John Holland included shaft construction for a total of 8 shafts of varying diameters from 3 to 6m and depths of up to 13m. The construction of each shaft was undertaken using our customized shaft excavation equipment, resulting in dramatically decreased excavation timeframes in hard rock and standard soil environments.

Drainage

Drainage Infrastructure is an area where Aqua Pipeline Contracting has delivered many large projects, often under time constraints. We have laid reinforced pipe of up to 3 meters in diameter using 250 ton cranes, formed large reinforced headwalls and installed box culverts, often on busy sites where our work has been critical for the achievement of project timelines. A good example of our work in this area is the Wiggins Island Balloon Loop Rail Project for ABI Group.

Gravity Sewer

Aqua Pipeline Contracting have extensive experience in the installation of gravity sewer pipelines in both greenfield and brownfield environments. We have installed gravity sewer lines at Cunningham Drive, North Oakey Creek and Amity Way on the Gold Coast and at the Gibson Island Treatment Plant, Mornington Sewage Treatment Plant, Dromana Water Treatment Plant and the Colac Sewerage Treatment Plant, to name a few.

Concrete Works

Aqua Pipeline Contracting's team includes highly capable formwork and concreting specialists who efficiently plan and form reinforced headwalls, culverts, base slabs and aprons according to client specifications. A good example of our work in this area is the extensive/numerous headwalls and box culverts constructed as part of the Wiggins Island Balloon Loop Rail Project for ABI Group.

Specialist Rock Excavation

Aqua Pipeline Contracting are able to remove large quantities of hard rock using specialised blasting procedures, surface mining equipment, rock wheels, rippers and large rock breakers. Aqua Pipeline Contracting has a broad range of specialised equipment that allows us to provide our services in the most efficient manner. Communication Infrastructure

Communication Infrastructure is another area of core expertise for Aqua Pipeline Contracting. This work is often undertaken in highly populated areas with limited space and the requirement of managing vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Other challenges that Aqua Pipeline Contracting have successfully managed when installing communication infrastructure include developing contingencies around cutting into live conduits and pipework, implementing plans for dust and sound monitoring, conducting night works and managing environmental issues.
